How does Invoca connect your digital marketing landing pages to your phone call intelligence? The first step is to add an Invoca Tag to your landing pages. With that code running on your landing page, here’s what Invoca does:
- First, we swap the phone numbers on your landing pages with Invoca promo numbers — serving a different promo number to each concurrent visitor.
- At the same time, we capture your visitors’ Marketing Data from their browser session.
- Then, if you receive a phone call, we’re able to connect the promo number your visitor dialed to their Marketing Data.
Let’s take a closer look at the Invoca Tag, and how to deploy Invoca on your landing pages no matter what your business case requires. You might need to be logged in to your Invoca account to follow most of the links in this article!
Easy, flexible deployment with the Invoca Tag
The Invoca Tag is the primary feature that the vast majority of Invoca customers should use to deploy Invoca on your landing pages. In your Invoca account, you can use the Invoca Tag Wizard to create a Tag, which creates a unique code snippet that you can deploy into your landing pages.
You’ll only ever need to deploy your Invoca Tag into each landing page once; your initial Tag code will continue to work, even if you edit your Tag’s settings, or if we upgrade the underlying code behind the Tag. This is because your Invoca Tag is set up to reference our InvocaJS — along with your own custom settings — each time a visitor accesses your landing page.
This knowledge base contains a number of resources for supporting the Invoca Tag, including:

- How many Invoca Tags do I need?
- Replacing phone numbers on your landing page with Invoca promo numbers
- Capturing the Marketing Data of your callers with your Tag
- Testing and troubleshooting your Invoca Tag

Deploying on Google AMP pages
If you use Invoca on any Google AMP landing pages, you can also create a special Google AMP code snippet from the Invoca Tag Wizard to paste onto these landing pages. See our article How to add Invoca to Google AMP pages for a full guide.
Serving the largest enterprises with self-hosted InvocaJS
Some large enterprise customers have internal audit systems that require all code to be run on their own servers. For these customers, we offer a self-hosted InvocaJS solution as an alternative to the Invoca Tag. This solution operates very similarly to the Invoca Tag and uses the same underlying technology, but needs to be redeployed and version controlled with Invoca releases. If you think a self-hosted InvocaJS solution is appropriate for your business, contact your Invoca account manager to learn more.
For legacy customers
Invoca also supports an alternative, legacy code base for deployment, called Web Integration Code (WIC). We recommend WIC for very few customers — if your organization deploys Invoca using WIC, see How to deploy Invoca on an Advertiser’s landing page for affiliate marketing using Invoca Web Integr... for help supporting and deploying this feature.
