Question Variations
- What data can be accessed through the Calls in Progress API without PreSense?
- What is the Exact Match use case of the Calls in Progress API?
Applies To
- Customers needing to link the Call Record ID or Transaction ID to calls in their third party system to better match data being passed back to Invoca.
- Customers needing to access basic real-time about calls.
- Customers looking for an alternative to a Pre-Transfer webhook for passing a unique call identifier.
Answer
The Calls in Progress API can be used access to call identifiers such as Call Record ID & Transaction ID without a PreSense subscription. By default, not all pre-call data would be available to access through the API (this would require a purchase of PreSense). However, you can access a limited amount of data fields to more accurately attribute data post call to the Signal API. We refer to this as the "Exact Match" use case.
These are the fields available to customers through the Exact Match use case:
- Transaction Id
- Call Record Id
- Caller Id
- Called Phone Number
- Destination Number
- Call Start Time
Additional Information
- The Exact Match use case is different than the PreSense use case where customers want PreCall data for agent popups or intelligent routing.
