Objective

Certain customers desire to move static numbers from one network to another network. This move should only be considered when there is a strong business use case such as selling off part of the company and setting up a new network. When a network to network number move is required, all static numbers should be identified and moved at one time.

Applies To

  • Static Numbers Only
  • Both the from and to Networks have already been provisioned / are live networks
  • Profiles/Campaigns where the numbers will be moved have been created and the call routing approved by the client

Procedure

Prior to Submitting a case ensure the Spreadsheet is complete

  1. Prepare a spreadsheet with the required fields
  2. Download a copy of all applied Marketing Data to Static Numbers for future reference and attach to case
  3. Coordinate cut over date with Support (Services completes task only when part of a larger Services project)
  4. Support and/or Services will leverage this tool to upload the file
  5. Following the move, if Marketing Data needs to be applied, upload the Marketing Data
  6. Confirm Numbers are available in new network and place test call to ensure it follows call treatment for new campaign (suggest 1 test call per campaign)

Additional Information

From a technical perspective, this tool deletes the existing VirtualLine and then creates a new one by assigning the NumberPool to a new campaign. Call counts for the newly created virtual line will not include call counts from before the move.
