Applies To
- Invoca Tag Settings for Call Tracking
- Customers seek the capability to monitor calls exclusively triggered by user clicks on paid search or through 3rd party click IDs (e.g., Facebook, Microsoft/Bing, Google, HubSpot, etc.).
- Enhanced control and settings within the Invoca tag can facilitate precise data management and effective overall number usage control.
Procedure
- Click 'Settings' in the bottom left corner of the left-side panel.
- Select 'Invoca Tags.'
- Confirm you are working in the correct tag by using the dropdown button next to the tag name.
- Navigate to 'Revision History' and click 'New Draft.'
- Fill out the 'Notes' section with a comment detailing the changes.
- Scroll down to the 'Advanced (Optional)' section and expand the window.
- In the 'Parameters Required to Run' field, add the API name for the desired click ID (e.g., gclid).
- You can add multiple values to this field for different click IDs (e.g., gclid msclkid ).
- Save the setting and conduct tests to ensure it works as expected.
- Once tests pass, click 'Save & Go Live' at the top of the Invoca Tag settings.
Additional Information
If you continue to observe calls without a click ID, it may be attributed to cached data from users who visited the site before implementing the new Tag revision. Cached data can be stored for up to 30 days.
