Is your seasonal promotion coming to an end, but you’re wary of losing any remnant traffic coming into your numbers? Or, are you looking to retain your static promo numbers to save on number costs when you’re finished with a campaign? Have no fear — it’s easy to move your static promo numbers from one campaign to another. 
 

What are static promo numbers?
Unlike most Invoca promo numbers, which are dynamically served to your online marketing customers, static promo numbers are phone numbers in your Invoca account that aren’t individually served to your customers. Because they can’t carry the same kinds of marketing data as dynamic promo numbers, static numbers are usually used in offline marketing campaigns.

 

How to move your Static Promo numbers

In your Invoca network account, only super users can move promo numbers between Advertiser Campaigns, or between Affiliate campaigns. To complete a number move, follow these directions:​​​​​
 

  1. Log in to your Invoca account. In sidebar menu, click Promo Numbers, then select Manage Promo Numbers.
  2. In the Manage Promo Numbers list, find the static promo number that you would like to move. In the “Actions” column (you may have to scroll to the right to find it!), click the ellipsis menu, then select Move.
    1. For Advertiser Direct promo numbers, select the destination Advertiser campaign.
    2. For Affiliate Direct promo numbers, select the destination campaign and Affiliate.
  3. If you want this promo number to continue to be associated with the same marketing data attribution as it was in your previous campaign, check the Move Custom Data checkbox. Otherwise, leave it blank.
  4. When you’re finished, click Move.
  5. That’s it! Your static promo number will be moved to the new campaign immediately.


To complete a bulk number move for up to 100 numbers at a time to the same campaign, follow these directions:

  1. Log in to your Invoca account. In the sidebar menu, click Promo Numbers, then select Manage Promo Numbers.
  2. In the Manage Promo Numbers list, select the static promo numbers that you would like to move.
  3. Find and select the “Bulk Actions” dropdown at the top of the report
  4. Select Move Promo Numbers
    1. For Advertiser Direct promo numbers, select the destination Advertiser campaign.
    2. For Affiliate Direct promo numbers, select the destination campaign and Affiliate.
  5. If you want these promo numbers to continue to be associated with the same marketing data attribution as it was in your previous campaign, check the Move Custom Data checkbox. Otherwise, leave it blank.
  6. When you’re finished, click Move.
  7. That’s it! Your static promo numbers will be moved to the new campaign immediately.

 

FAQs

Can I select and move several promo numbers at once?

Yes! As long as these numbers are moving to the same campaign.
 

Can I move numbers between advertiser and publisher campaigns?

No, you can only move promo numbers to the same kind of campaign that they were used previously.

Additionally, you can’t move static promo numbers to a Syndicated Advertiser Campaign, or to any campaign that has been archived.
 

Which kinds of promo numbers can and can’t be moved?

You can move the following types of promo numbers:

  • Advertiser Direct Promo Numbers
  • Affiliate Direct Promo Numbers


The following kinds of promo numbers cannot be moved:

  • Specific dynamic (RingPool) promo numbers
  • Syndicated numbers

 

Can I keep the same custom call treatment and custom payouts on my promo number when I move it to a new campaign?

No. While custom data can be moved with a number, custom terms — such as custom call treatment and custom payouts — cannot.
