Legacy feature:
Creatives is not supported for many Invoca use cases and isn't compatible with the Invoca Tag and other recent Invoca features. If you use Creatives in your Invoca account, please talk to your Customer Success Manager or Core Account Success representative to discuss other ways to address your marketing needs.

If you use our legacy feature, Campaign Creatives, to add Invoca promo numbers to your image and text advertisements, this article will help you identify file types and sizes, as well as formatting best practices, for these ads.

Supported File Formats

Invoca accepts JPG, JPEG, GIF and PNG files for camnpaign creatives.  Animated GIFs can be uploaded, but do not support being customized with a unique tracking phone number, instead publishers will only have access to the original file.

Text creatives

Text creative requires a link tag around clickable text. The hyperlink will be used as a click-to-call link to your Invoca promo number. Additionally, you can display your Invoca promo number to let your customers manually dial.

Depending on the publishing channel where a text creative is used, its length may be confined to a predetermined character limit. An SMS (Text Messages) has a 160 character limit (including the tracking URL) while Search Engine Marketing tools such as Google Ads and Microsoft Ads have their own unique format and character limits, often not including the tracking URL.

Additional things to define in a creative text include Hyperlinks and the phone number format you'd like to display.

Hyperlinks

Entering plain text in the "Link Text" field for a text creative makes the entire text string hyperlinked or clickable.

To make part of the text hyperlinked, use a  <link> tag. Use multiple <link> tags to create multiple hyperlinks in the ad.

Displaying your promo number in your ad

A phone number is not required in a text creative, but is recommended. Insert the phone number with default formatting, or better yet, use a placeholder to mark where a publisher's promo number should be inserted and how it should be formatted. Use the <number> tag inserts a promo number into the creative with the default format that is consistent with how numbers are displayed on the platform. By default, this format is XXX-XXX-XXXX for US phone numbers, and XXXX XXX XXXX for UK phone numbers.

Custom phone number formatting (United States only):
If you want to customize how the Insert a placeholder phone number of all "9"s, separated by dashes, periods and parentheses to specify a custom format.

Example 1:
"Call us for your free trial of Hair Club Revival (999) 999-9999"
will display as...
"Call us for your free trial of Hair Club Revival (888) 555-1234"

If you want to make only the promo number in your ad hyperlinked, simply add a "<link>" tag around your "<number>" tag. For example: Call us at <link>1-<number></link> for your free trial of Hair Club Revival
