Salesforce is a leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, used by businesses around the world to track contact and activity with current and potential customers. This is the first article in a series that will teach you everything you need to know to set up, support, and succeed with the Invoca for Salesforce Sales Cloud integration, including:

  • What’s possible with the integration
  • Some background knowledge you’ll need to properly set it up
  • Step-by-step directions to install your integration
  • FAQs and troubleshooting help

Why choose Invoca for Salesforce Sales Cloud

By connecting Salesforce to your Invoca account, you can send data to Salesforce in real-time, arming your agents with marketing campaign and caller demographic information to help personalize the caller experience.

The Invoca for Salesforce Sales Cloud integration also facilitates automated closed loop reporting, making it seamless to report conversions from Salesforce back to Invoca. Invoca can then share these reported conversions with other marketing platforms — such as Google Ads, Meta, Adobe, and many more.

Here are a few things you’ll be able to do with this integration:

  • Understand which marketing campaigns and offers are driving phone calls.
  • Automatically create new Leads or append call data to existing Leads, Contacts, Accounts/Person Accounts, Opportunities, and Cases.
  • Provide campaign and caller demographic information to enable reps to deliver a more personalized experience.
  • Understand the outcome of each call with automated closed loop reporting.

How it works (the basics)

Invoca sends call data to Salesforce and associates the data to the matching Contact, Lead, Account/Person Account, Opportunity, and Case. If there isn’t a matching record, a new Lead can be created. For Leads or Opportunities associated with a call, you have the option to report a conversion to Invoca for selected Lead Statuses or Opportunity Stages. Simple as that!

Salesforce editions supported

Enterprise, Unlimited, Developer

While the package was developed for Sales Cloud in mind, many of the other industry specific clouds, such as the Service Cloud or Financial Services Cloud, can be compatible depending on your edition. Your edition must support custom objects, web services APIs, and access to the Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity, and Case objects. You can attempt to install the package from the public AppExchange listing as a preliminary test of compatibility.

The package is Shield ready.

Note:
You may be able to use the Invoca app with Salesforce Professional edition if you are able to add-on the support for additional custom fields.
